The World of Arnval

Hey, all!

Just a quick but exciting announcement:

I'm working with friend and illustrator Breno Macedo on a third-party artbook-setting compatible with Mausritter!

“The World of Arnval” will be about mice thriving amidst a long-abandoned amusement park, whose decayed and rusty structures are almost engulfed by vegetation, dirty and flooded areas.

Staying true to the very essence of Mausritter, the Arnvallian mice will ingeniously repurpose the ruined structures to establish their society. As a result, they will uncover a land brimming with treasures and enigmas left behind by the Ancestors—a generation of mice that one day lived among the giants (humans). You can see hints of all this in the teaser image above!

In terms of layout, our inspiration draws from children's and art books, giving the illustrations the same weight as the text throughout the entire book, whenever possible. We plan to have fully colored watercolors for each location or aspect of Arnvall, with short descriptions and useful stats accompanying them.

We have been thinking and planning it for about two years now, so it’s time to finally commit to the task of actually writing and illustrating the book. It’s going to be a fun ride and we would love to have you along with us.
